Painting of head lice treatment
People having head lice often feel ashamed as it is associated with dirtiness. Head lice mainly occur on school going children due to the possibility of direct head-to-head contact, however it may affect anyone irrespective of age and gender. Lice spread when a person come in contacts with affected person or using their comb, towel or other personal items. Lice can only spread through contact and not by jumping or flying from an affected person to other. The girls are more prone towards getting lice than the boys because of their long hairs where lice may hide easily. Same as other parasites lice needs a home and food too, and that is why lice live in our body. By proper care and cleaning, we can avoid having lice. Excessive use of conditioners & shampoo may also cause lice. Apart from various medications available in the market today various home based treatments also helps eliminating and preventing lice.

Proper hygiene
The best home remedy to avoid head lice is keeping proper body hygiene, if you keep your body and hair clean then the chances of lice spreading almost reaches to nil. Proper cleaning of hair and keeping your belongings clean and safe prevent you from being a host to lice. Your hair and head need proper oiling to remain healthy therefore nourish them regularly with coconut oil. You can also prevent yourself by keeping a safe distance from others especially in case of children who can catch lice easily.

Kerosene oil is effective in killing parasites and germs including head lice. Using kerosene oil is very easy, simply rinse your hair with it and then wrap a cloth around your head to cover hairs. Leave it for a night and comb your hair in the morning and you will find only the dead lice.

  2. Nice article , thanks for sharing. For the remedies you have talked about one great advantage over the allopathic medicines available in the market like Pyrethrins, Permethrins, malathion ( which kills lice as well as the nits or ova or eggs) benzyl alcohol , Ivermectin lotion and Spinosad. is there are almost no side effects to person. Whereas these allopathic medicines some of them so have side effects on the person getting treated. In fact the oldest anti lice drug in allopathic medicine Lindane an organochloride compound is off the market due to its sideffects upon the nervous system of the person getting treated.
also good to remember that the treatment must be repeated after about 10 days to get rid of remaining lice that are new born from the nits. Another thing is to make sure the clothing worn and slept need to be washed in hot water to kill any lice on them and to prevent the spread.
Neem and Reeta are available in India . Unluckily we do not have it here in USA.
Hopefully something agriculturist or horticulturist will take interest in it and grows it here in Arizona or California where the climate is conducive to its growth.
Having lived in India used it daily as my tooth brush ( almost daily) and are decades there are cavities in my teeth , I just love that neem tree. even till today during my trip to India that is one thing I want bring a few sort stems of Neem .
